SMOKING

Jane (jane...@aol.com) wrote:

Hi, I'm Jane, 23 years old chubby, beautiful black female and I am a smoker for 6 years and half, I smoke about 20 cigarettes in a day. Sometimes I do feel that I should quit but I still insist in it mainly because of my friends – they are all smokers, but from the other hand I have a fear to gain more weight, if I quit.

I also noticed that always when I smoke I get strong desire for sex.

Why it happens?

Alois Kolar, BHSc.: Hello Jane, how are you doing?
Well, nicotine is only one of the big number of substances (about 500), which is most commonly found in tobacco cigarettes, even we can find it also in so called night-shade family of plants (tein cause similar effects). It is an addictive substance that is usually hard to stop using it.

According to the American Heart Association, nicotine together with other toxic substances alters your brain and makes you crave it for even more. Well, when you smoke cigarettes, the nicotine alters your brain chemistry, making you feel good. Then you crave that good feeling when the nicotine wears off, prompting you to smoke more. Nicotine is a stimulant, better to say irritant which increases certain chemicals within the brain, for example: dopamine is increased when nicotine is consumed and it is believed to play a large role in the rewarding effects of nicotine use. Nicotine also cause release of glucose from the liver and adrenaline from adrenal medulla which cause stimulation. It probably effects desire for sexual satisfaction just as alcohol does – in women.

When pregnant woman smokes, there are risks to child later in its life for obesity, hypertension, neurobehavioral defects, infertility and to diabetes type 2. Please do have this on your mind.

Smoking causes so called oxidative stress which causes DNA mutations setting a stage for cancer and it is contributor to aging process and it is asociated with higher level of inflamations.

Nicotine is associated with cardiovascular disease, intoxication - poisoning, birth defects and cancer.
I believe that you are beautiful young lady strong enough to quit this unhealthy habit.

The best way to stop all addictions not only tobacco addiction is to cut off smoking - intoxication and to start with healthy lifestyle known as optimum lifestyle with optimal diet, because such kind of diet does not cause drug effects and allow to the body to work the best possible natural way, to be slim, healthy, beautiful – sexy, strong, with natural desire to reach orgasm or two; there is absolutely no need to be “chubby” in your age or in any age at all.
This is exactly what I could recommend to you if you would ask me…

Have a nice fruitful day, Jane.
